Baby Emery

I kicked off 2014 with a photo shoot of this precious baby girl! An old classmate from high school reached out to me for her baby girl's photos. This is such a fun stage with babies: they have found their feet and they show off their little gummy smiles! Don't you just want to pinch those sweet cheeks?

Baby Isabel

Our friends Mike and Bea just had their 2nd baby- a beautiful baby girl. Bea is from the "old school" where the baby is kept home with no visitors for a few months. So we did her "newbie session" when she was 4 months old. She was a real trooper and is maybe the most laid back baby I've ever met! We changed her outfits a few times and she never complained! Look at those eyes- she is so gorgeous! Enjoy!

Maternity& Newborn packages

I've been asked a lot lately if I offer maternity/ newborn specials or combos. It was something I didn't have a lot of requests for in the past- but it seems like there is a baby boom in 2012! I know of so many friends and acquaintances that are expecting this year! So what better time than now to introduce this special package! Contact me for more details/pricing and to book your session.

Baby Kennedy

Meet little Miss Kennedy! This one is going to be feisty! She didn't want to nap for us! It took a lot of nursing and coaxing but she finally fell asleep for a little while. Her mom had the most adorable baby hats for her- thanks to Etsy! I loved her nursery with its soothing grey striped walls and details with pink giraffes. Can you believe this was my 1st baby girl session? All of the newbie shoots I've done in the past were ALL boys! Yay for girls! Sugar and spice..... :) Congrats to her lovely parents!

Mike, Bea + baby Steven

Our good friends Mike and Bea welcomed their beautiful baby boy Steven back in the fall and I was the bad friend (and photographer) that forgot to blog about it! Shame on me. I took advantage of their gorgeous backyard and the fall afternoon light to photograph their new little family. I seriously might start hosting sessions in their backyard! :) Towards the end of their session, we allowed their furbabies to join in on the fun. I always love furbabies in photos and look how protective they are of him! So sweet! I am thrilled for them on their new addition and can't wait to see him grow up. Congrats guys!

Baby Graham

Recently I had the joy of photographing my best friends 4th child and her 1st boy, Graham Michael. He is cute as a button and Jen is head over heels for her bundle of joy. Jen and I grew up together so it's REALLY cool that we both just had baby boys and we are hoping they will grow up together as we did and become BFF's! How cool would that be?
Time to ooh and ahh...............enjoy!

Hello again!

I know that I've been MIA from the blog lately! And I have good reason. On January 20 my husband and I welcomed our first child, a beautiful baby boy! We named him Dylan Charles. So......as you can imagine, life has changed completely and its been crazy, chaotic, tiring........all of the things I knew motherhood would bring. But its been a wonderful journey so far! I love being a mama- its amazing. Little by little I'm trying to get back into my photography and blogging...... so bear with me! For now, I'm sharing this collage of his newborn session that his proud mama did with him! I'm getting lots of practice with newborn photography- and man its hard! haha! Enjoy!

Baby Mark

On Sunday, I met up with Michelle and Eddie to photograph their 7-week old cutie, baby Mark. We met at a private residence in Avondale to do a few outdoors shots- unfortunately it was sweltering hot and muggy after an afternoon rainstorm, so Mark was a bit fussy. Understandably! We moved the session indoors to try and resume and capture those adorable "sleeping baby" images. Well, the little guy worked with me for a short while, but soon after, it was "get that camera out of my face- I'm not ready to sleep yet"! Little stinker! Any photographer will tell you that a newborn session is the most challenging of all! But overall, we got some cute shots and I hope Michelle and Eddie will enjoy!

1st Birthday!

On Saturday, I photographed the 1st birthday party for Aiden. This little guy and his big blue eyes are such a joy to photograph! His mom did a wonderful job with the party- she has such an eye for details and I was in heaven- taking pictures of everything! The party was a lot of fun. There were a lot of little babies there as well as 3 that are still cookin' in the oven! Maybe there is something in the water?! Happy 1st Birthday Aiden! P.S. The fabulous cupcakes, cake, and cookies are all created by Red Velvet Armadillo Bakeshop. Click on their link, on the right side of my blog.

Chrissy + Mary

Had to throw this one in here- this is my dad on his beloved John Deere Spring is officially here! My cousin Chrissy (who is like a little sister to me) and her 2-year old cutie, Mary, came for a visit for the weekend. On Saturday, we had a family get-together at my parents house and I took advantage of the magnificent pink azaleas that are in full bloom in my parents backyard. Mary had a great time playing in the flowers and I enjoyed following her around w/ the camera :) I never realized how great my parents backyard is for photo sessions, with their mature trees, huge azalea bushes, rustic shed & swing and of course, my dad's vintage John Deere tractor! I might have to start adding their backyard to my locations list! Here are a few of my favs- enjoy!
