Baby girl E

Baby girl "E" is here! Her mom is a wonderful photog and didn't need the standard newbie shots. So we did a lifestyle family/newborn shoot, which is my favorite. I prefer the candid, tender moments versus a lot of props. I absolutely love these photos! Nothing sweeter than seeing first time parents cuddle their new baby. It's a moment in time that I wish we could just freeze. And how about that October light coming through the trees! It's perfection. Love this time of year! Congrats to Karen and Andy and soak up those newborn cuddles!

Luke's 1 year session

Seems like just yesterday I was shooting Luke's 5-month spring mini's and here he is- a 1 year old! What what!! His mom is planning an "Up" themed birthday party and she brought some amazing props! Check out this hot-air balloon prop! And the little gas tank and car! Love it! And I'm a sucker for bright balloons in photo shoots. We ended the session with a smash cake and little Luke wasn't too sure about it! We had to do some coaxing for him to dig into that yummy cake. Isn't it funny how that works? When we don't want them touching stuff... they do. And when we need them to just dig in... they don't. Kids! Happy Birthday Luke!

Baby Lila

My childhood friend Jamie contacted me to capture her baby girl's newborn photos as well as a few family shots. I did big brother's newborn pics a couple of years ago and it was so good to see this adorable family again. We had some challenges with this session: crazy weather which came on suddenly and brought a lot of wind, as well as a newbie that didn't want to sleep! So we ended up doing day 1 and day 2 photo shoots. I'm glad we did- because day 2, we had nice, warm weather & we captured some amazing photos of baby Lila. She went into that milk coma that us photogs really love :) I always make sure my clients are happy- even if that means meeting up 2 different days!

Crissy + Chris maternity

One of my best friends, Crissy, is adding onto her family and this time it's a girl! If you know Crissy- you know how perfect she would be as a mom to a baby girl! So I think everyone was so happy to find out she was on TEAM PINK! Big brother Chad is going to be so awesome too! The purple color scheme she picked out was so pretty and she truly rocked that dress! I wish I had looked this good in my 3rd tri! Congrats to you guys and can't wait to meet baby C in October!

Karen + Andrew's Maternity

My friend and fellow photog Karen is having a baby girl soon! The last time I saw this couple, we were doing a romantic "after session" and now she is sporting a baby bump! She came to the session with some adorable props and we had a great time. I gave her some of my best mom tips & passed along some hand-me-down baby things to her as well. Congrats to Karen and Andrew and cannot wait to meet baby girl soon!

Mike + Shauna "4th of July Wedding"

In July my husband and I traveled to Tennessee to see our good friends get married! The lake house is one of our favorite places to visit and it's always such a great time, hanging out with my husband's best friends from school. It's 5 days of nothing but laughter and good times. This trip was a bit different, lots of wedding stuff happening! How amazing is this backdrop for a wedding day? Such a fun day, which ended with fireworks being shot from the balcony! I feel honored to be able to capture this day for them. Congrats to Mike and Shauna! Can't wait to see you next year!
